Artist’s statement

I enjoy the painting process—time to myself to connect with and paint our visual world.

Living in Summit County, Utah, I am surrounded by wetlands, hills, mountains, desert and abundant animal life. These features are an important part of my daily life.

My paintings are my way of connecting with and celebrating these special places—recording, from my perspective, the look, feel, and unique qualities of that particular place or scene.

I hope my paintings inspire others to see that same beauty in these familiar places.
